Photo Library Storage Map

See what uses space before you decide what is worth removing.

Siftory summarizes photos and videos by practical review groups, helping you find large media and possible low-quality items without confusing file size with value.

Start with the question you want to answer

  • What uses space? Review high-storage photos and videos. The estimate helps you prioritize; it does not mean a long video is a bad video.
  • What may be hard to use? Open the separate low-quality-photo review for possible severe blur or poor visibility. This is a fallible suggestion, not a deletion list.

Inspect the original before acting

Open a suggested photo or video and check what it contains. Zoom or rotate photos when a small detail matters, play videos, and share an item if you want another opinion. A photo that appears blurred in a small preview may still be important or usable at full size. You decide what to keep.

Storage estimates are not instant free space

The map is a way to focus your review, not a promise that the phone will immediately show the same amount of free space. The result depends on which items you actually choose to remove and how Photos processes those changes. Siftory does not delete media in the background.

Does the map require Premium?

You can open the Storage Map without Premium. The separate cleanup tools offer limited free reviews; Premium extends those reviews. The map itself does not buy storage or remove anything from Apple Photos.

Choose a more focused review when useful

If you have many takes of one moment, compare them in Best Shots. If a trip or celebration left a large collection, use Event & Trip Cleanup to review that period together. Each tool helps you narrow the work; none makes the final keep-or-remove decision for you.
