Choose the stronger photo without reviewing every take twice.

Siftory groups near-identical personal photos and helps you compare likely best shots using visible quality signals. Recommendations are a starting point, not an automatic deletion decision.

What happens when you open Best Shots?

  1. Open Best Shots as a separate photo-library tool. Screenshot organization does not silently start reviewing personal photos.
  2. Siftory looks for photos taken close together with similar visual content and proposes groups for review. A group is a suggestion, not proof that the photos are interchangeable.
  3. Open each candidate full-screen. Zoom and rotate to inspect details, or share a candidate if you want another opinion.
  4. Choose which photos matter to you. Siftory does not automatically delete the other takes.

Why the recommended shot may not be your favorite

Sharpness and lighting can help identify a technically stronger image, but they cannot decide which expression, person, or moment is most meaningful to you. Photos of the same subject may also differ in pose or framing. If one photo shows a face and another shows a different action, keeping both may be the right choice. Compare the whole group before removing any photo, especially when a detail appears in only one frame.

Return without repeating completed work

Completed analysis is cached on the iPhone. When you return to Best Shots, Siftory can reuse that work unless the photo library has changed. You can still reopen a group and inspect its photos again.

Review the rest of a large library

Best Shots is for near-identical takes, not a judgment that every older photo should go. For a collection from one holiday or event, use Event & Trip Cleanup. If storage is your concern, start with the Photo Storage Map to see which media deserves a closer look.
